We have a design and copy ready to go, but need someone brainy enough to make it work. It's not a huge project at all, but we're just not at that level of technical geekery. It'll be a high-traffic site with lots of good exposure. Contact us for more info. 8/10/05 - Pinoise Pop 9 - August 27, 2005 We're grateful to be playing our first show in 5 months at this year's Pinoise Pop 9. 7/28/05 - NEW TRACK UP! After nearly 2 years since we last released any music, we finally have a new track available for listening on our Myspace page. The track is entitled "Deafening", and it's one of the new FMTM studio tracks off our upcoming remix album, "Schools of thought contend." We will soon have a new "Schools of thought contend." webpage up with streaming content of the entire album including tons of unreleased remixes and additional words and album info. 6/13/05 - Schools of Thought Contend. (September 13, 2005)
FMTM, along with many talented artists, have been working very hard for the past several months on a new full-length album titled "Schools of thought contend.". The album, now finished, contains a number of diverse remixes (ranging from electronic and indie pop to drum&bass and post-rock) of songs off "The Impossible Leap...", as well as 2 new FMTM studio tracks. We will be putting up a new webpage profiling the many contributing remix artists, as well as offering additional writings and remix tracks not available on the album. FMTM will be taking a small hiatus this summer to write all new material and will be back and playing shows by late August of 2005. "For dialectical philosophy, nothing is final, absolute, sacred. It reveals the transitory character of everything and in everything; nothing can endure before it except the uninterrupted process of becoming and of passing away, of endless ascendancy from the lower to the higher." - F. Engels 4/30/05 - CANCELLED PERFORMANCE - May 6th @ Chain Reaction FMTM will not be playing May 6th at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. Sergio will be getting minor surgery done on his finger and will not be able to recuperate in time. We apologize for the late notice, but encourage anyone in the mood for good hardcore(Das Oath) to go to the show anyways. We hope to be down in Southern California very soon. 4/13/05 - Last Minute Remix Rush!!! Hey, if there are any electronic or remix artists out there interested in doing a remix of one of our songs from The Impossible Leap album, please contact me ASAP!!! 3/13/05 - So Cal Revisited We're coming down to Southern California at the end of March. Check out the dates! 3/8/05 - "What We Gained From What We Lost"
Our friend and fellow musician Brent Kimble (Continental), who we've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many a times, passed away on March 2, 2005. He will be greatly missed... 2/6/05 - Denied... Our February Southern California shows have been cancelled. Booooooo... On a positive note, remixes are slowly, but surely coming in. We've also just finished tracking our two new songs and now enter the long and arduous phase of editing/mixing/mastering. ugh. 1/17/05 - Re: FMTM We're currently seeking a graphic designer to collaborate with on the artwork for our upcoming Remix Album to be released this year on Dim Mak Records, so please contact us if you're interested. It's going to be an eclectic release with contributions from such bands as The Mercury Program, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Junior Senior and Tarantel, just to name a few. We're also looking for graphic designers/artists interested in doing shirt designs for us as well. In other news, we're coming to Southern California Febuary 24-27th, so check back in the next week or so to see which venues/cities we have confirmed. And we just got around to putting up some old 2003 US Summer Tour pics in our gallery. Peace thru struggle in '05. 12/30/04 - "All the cool kids are doing it." A few things:
1.) Yes, we have succumbed to e-pressure and have made a Myspace band page.
All the cool bands seem to be doing it these days.
11/23/04 - Decompressed and Replenished. Hey, folks. All 3 members of FMTM are finally back home, recuperated and getting back into the swing of things. We're writing new material and are in the process of putting together a remix album of "The Impossible Leap..." to be released some time next year. We just played our first show back since Summer Tour to an extremely positive and enthusiastic East Bay reception and have our final show of 2004 coming up on the 18th of December. CDs, shirts and buttons are now restocked and available for immediate consumption at our online store. Thanks to everyone who came out to our Japan and Europe shows, snapped pictures, bought merch, fed us, housed us, wrote us, inquired into and conversed with us about the politics... 8/11/04 - The store's open. We're still gone fishin'. We're in England right now, enjoying a nice day off. Had some time to update the website. Because we've sold out of CDs and shirts here in Europe, we've decided to reopen our Merch section for folks to make international orders. Please note that orders outside of the USA and Canada will have to add money for postage. Only three more shows left! We'll be back home on August 18th! 7/22/04 - Gone for tour. We're in Hamburg right now on the German leg of our European tour. Please note that our online store (e.g. the "Merch" section) will be closed until we return on August 18, 2004. We'll put the new shirts online when we return. Also, we'll be updating the Journal as often as possible. Please check it out. For show details, click here. 7/15/04 - A few updates. First off, thanks to all the folks who came out to our Southern California dates. We have a few pics up from our Pomona show in our Image section. We're off for Europe this Sunday. Wish us luck. We'll be updating the Journal as often as possible. If you're in that part of the globe, please come to a show and say, "Hi." For show details, click here. 7/6/04 - Califas Tour. Hey folks. We're gonna take a few days to visit some California spots. First off, we'll be playing tomorrow night at Bottom Of The Hill. It's gonna be our last show in Northern California until October or November, so come out if you can. Then we're off to Southern California. Thursday night we're playing two shows...one in LA at around 8:45pm and then one out in Pomona at 11:00pm. Huh? Yeah. Friday night we end the week in Long Beach. We hope to see you there. For show details, click here. 6/23/04 - Image. The Image section's up. 6/21/04 - Home. We're back after a hugely successful week in Japan. Definitely
one of the most positive experiences we've had so far as a band.
For all the gritty details, check out our journal.
We'll be throwing up pictures during the next couple of weeks. 6/7/04 - Sorry Scandinavia! Shit happens. We're sorry to have to announce the cancellation
of the first leg of our European tour. Things didn't quite work
out with the booking...miscommunication, lack of communication,
etc. Anyway, we'll make it out there...someday. But now we start
the tour off mid-July in Germany. For the details,
click here. 5/15/04 - We're off...soon. Thanks so much to everyone who made it out to last Wednesday's show.
The crowd and bill were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better
send-off show for this summer's tour(s). Yup...that was our last show
'til Tokyo. Aww yeah. For the details on where we'll be and when,
check this. In the meantime, if you'd
like to help us raise funds for our travels, buy some stuff |
